The Village of New Concord will hold its annual Veterans Day celebration on Sunday, November 11th at 12:00pm in the Village Park. This year is particularly significant as it is the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice, which ended WWI and became the foundation for what we now know as Veterans Day.
Area churches will ring their bells at 11:00am and briefly pause services for a moment of silence. The ceremony will begin at noon at Village Park, followed by a flag retirement ceremony conducted by Boy Scout Troop 510. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Harper Cabin and the Glenn Museum will both be holding open house event following the ceremony as well.
