New Concord Blooms
I hope you will take a stroll through town to see our New Concord Blooms exhibit May 2-15! Colorful painted wooden butterflies will be on display in front of our local businesses along the Main Street Mile. Exhibit includes artwork by kids from 2 preschools (Friendship & MUCCD), 3 elementary schools (NC, Perry, Pike), LMIS, EMMS, and JGHS. Additionally, students from MU and adults in the community participated as well as residents of Evergreen Village and The Beckett House! In all, 120 butterflies will be on display through May 15.
Our village will be clean from our Let’s Pick It Up New Concord “Renew in ’22” campaign, held April 22-30! Immediately following this event, we would like to take the next step – from “de-littering”… to the enhanced beautification of our village May 1-15! We hope you will help us tie in our New Concord Blooms exhibit with a community-wide spruce up the first two weeks of May. Our school parent organizations, businesses, and other local organizations are scheduling yearly maintenance of their grounds during this time. You can be a part by joining in at your own home! Perhaps use this time to plant flowers, spruce up your lawn, mulch, and/or complete any other maintenance or upgrades you are planning at home! Post pics on our Facebook page as you help our village shine!
