The New Concord Area Pool is owned and operated by the Village of New Concord and is managed daily by Linda Jones. It is located on John Glenn School Road.

2023 Pool Schedule
The pool will be open Thursday, June 1 through Tuesday, August 22.
Pool Hours – Open Swim
- Monday – Saturday: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Sunday: 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm
To keep operating costs down, the pool may close early if the weather is bad. Please follow “New Concord Area Pool“ on Facebook for updates.

Dog Days
Bring your favorite pooch to the pool Sunday, Aug. 27, to cool off from the heat from 1-3 PM! There will be a look-alike contest (dog and owner) at 2:45 PM

Moonlight Swims
We will hold a special Moonlight Swim for passholders August 7 from 5-8 PM. Check the “New Concord Area Pool” Facebook page for announcements!
Pool Party Rentals
- 1 to 50 people: $200.00 for two hours
- $50 per every additional 50 people
To book your party, call Village Hall at (740)-826-7671. Your date is reserved when you pay the $50 non-refundable deposit.
Swim Lessons
Basic Swim Lessons will be offered – date and time to be announced. Class sizes are limited- first come, first serve.
- Session 1 – Ages 7-10 Stroke Readiness 9 am – 10 am
- (Basic strokes, diving, swimming in the deep end)
- Session 2 – Ages 3-6 Primary Skills 10 am – 11 am
- (Treading water, floating, jumping from the side of the pool)
- Session 3 – Ages 1-2 Water Exploration 11 am – 12 pm
- (Water safety, kicking, holding breath and going underwater)
Fee: $75 per week ($65 with Season Pass)

Water Workouts
Make sure to register for our 4-week water aerobics class led by Emily Jeffries! Class meets Tuesdays at 10 AM at the New Concord Area Pool.
Dates: July 12, 19, 26 – rescheduled due to inclement weather, and Aug. 2 + added Aug. 9!
Cost: $20 or $8 / class for drop-ins
Pool Rules and Regulations
Personal Conduct Rules
- No spitting
- No cursing
- No chewing gum
Pool Safety Rules
- Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult
- No running
- No pushing
- No dunking
- No chicken fighting
- No snapping towels
- No hanging off the ropes
Diving Board Rules
- No diving in the shallow end
- No swimming under the diving board
- Only one person on the diving board at one time
- Only one bounce off the diving board
Weather Policy
- The pool will be evacuated at the first sign of thunder and/or lightning.
- All visitors must stay away from the fence during storms.
- If threatening weather still exists after one hour of evacuation, the pool will close for the day.
- Once the pool is closed, it will not reopen.
- On days when the temperature is forecasted to be below 70 degrees or the temperature does not reach 70 degrees by noon, the pool will close for the day.
- Closure for safety reasons has the full support of the Village of New Concord and NCAARD.

- Open swim may be canceled due to inclement weather.
- To keep your season pass price from increasing, we may close the pool early on days when attendance falls below 5 people.
