Ownership, Operation and Location

The New Concord Area Pool is owned by the Village of New Concord, operated through the New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District (NCAARD), and managed daily by Linda Jones. It is located on John Glenn School Road.

The pool will be open Saturday, June 1 through Tuesday, August 24.

Pool Hours – Open Swim

  • Monday – Saturday: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Sunday: 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm

To keep operating costs down, the pool may close early if the weather is bad. Please follow “New Concord Area Pool“ on Facebook for updates.

Dog Days

Bring your favorite pooch to the pool Sunday, Aug. 29, to cool off from the heat from 1-3 PM! There will be a look-alike contest (dog and owner) at 2:45 PM

Moonlight Swims

Two moonlight swims were held July 28 and August 4. Check back next summer for events at the pool!

Pool Party Rentals


  • 1 to 50 people: $150.00 for two hours
  • $50 per additional hour
  • $50 per every additional 50 people

To book your party, stop by the pool or call pool manager Linda Jones at (740)-826-7121. Your date is reserved when you pay the $50 deposit. For more information call NCAARD at (740) 291-7274.

Pool Rules and Regulations

Personal Conduct Rules

  • No spitting
  • No cursing
  • No chewing gum

Pool Safety Rules

  • Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult
  • No running
  • No pushing
  • No dunking
  • No chicken fighting
  • No snapping towels
  • No hanging off the ropes

Diving Board Rules

  • No diving in the shallow end
  • No swimming under the diving board
  • Only one person on the diving board at one time
  • Only one bounce off the diving board

Weather Policy

  • The pool will be evacuated at the first sign of thunder and/or lightning.
  • All visitors must stay away from the fence during storms.
  • If threatening weather still exists after one hour of evacuation, the pool will close for the day.
  • Once the pool is closed, it will not reopen.
  • On days when the temperature is forecasted to be below 70 degrees or the temperature does not reach 70 degrees by noon, the pool will close for the day.
  • Closure for safety reasons has the full support of the Village of New Concord and NCAARD.
  • Check the New Concord Area Pool on Facebook for weather updates.
  • Open swim may be canceled due to inclement weather.
  • To keep your season pass price from increasing, we may close the poor early on days when attendance falls below 5 people.
