The New Concord Firefighters Association will hold a Fill the Boot fundraiser on Friday, June 20, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the intersection of Main Street (SR22/US40) and Friendship Drive (SR83). All proceeds will help fund the annual fireworks display that caps off the New Concord Firefighters Festival, scheduled for Saturday, July 12.
While the festival is a beloved tradition and with its fireworks is a highlight of the summer, the event has a deeper purpose. The festival and its finale are vital fundraisers that support the essential needs of the New Concord Fire Department—needs that cannot be fully covered by the Village budget.
The Association is aiming to raise over $5,000 to cover fireworks costs and is actively seeking sponsorships to help ensure the event’s success. Tiered sponsorships are available, and local individuals or businesses interested in sponsoring all or part of the festival and/or fireworks are encouraged to reach out.
“This is about more than fireworks,” said Fire Chief Shane Barkley. “It’s about keeping our firefighters equipped and ready.
Supporting this event helps the people who keep our community safe.”
