Crafty Tuesday

Be a part of our Crafty Tuesday series!
When: The last Tuesday of each month, January 30, February 27, March 26, and April 30
These classes are for adults and kids ages 14 and above. Children must be accompanied by parent.
Where: Village Hall lower level
Time: All classes begin at 5:30 PM

January 30: Valentine primitive heart painting! Immerse yourself in this 16″ X 16″ flat panel canvas primitive heart design – the perfect display of love. Give as an exceptionally thoughtful gift to that special someone or keep for your own home/family decor. This highly personalized design will convey your ideas of love through art. Ideas for personalization include song lyrics, family names, and poems. We will have lots of ideas for you to brainstorm to create your individualized work. We will use dot blending technique, creating thinking, and writing script on canvas for this project. Led by OSU art grad and painting expert, Julie Metry, you will NOT want to miss this one!
Cost: $35 (flat canvas only) or $45 with white wooden frame included

Feb. 27: St. Paddy’s Day-Themed Succulents! Create your own magical pot of gold with live succulents! Plant enthusiast Nick Louis of BioPlanty will help us create a cute 4.5″ X 4.5″ St. Paddy’s Day planter as well as help us arrange it with live succulents. You will get to paint and decorate your pot and pick out three succulents along with mosses to create your live leprechaun hat. Nick will also give us helpful tips for caring for our succulents.
Cost: $25

Mar. 26: Woven fabric baskets! Learn how to easily create a functional small pouch with just a woven place mat and glue gun! M.B. Caudill teaches us how to transform a colorful place mat into a soft eye-catching and practical pouch. Give as a gift or use in your home to add to your decor!
Cost: $10 (depending on numbers, we may have enough to do 2 for $15)

Apr. 30: New Concord Blooms projects! Be a part of our community-wide art exhibit! We will be creating unique pieces using an exciting fire technique and alcohol ink! Display runs the first 2 weeks of May. All are welcome to be a part as we want to include people of all ages, from 3 – 93! Cost: free

Cancellation policy: Participants must pay prior to the event or they will not be considered registered. No refunds will be give within one week of the event. Registration IS transferable to a substitute participant.
