Officer Tim Louis, Officer Andrew Lilje
and Chief Trevor Hayes
The officers of the New Concord Police Department, who are sworn to protect the Village, are very capable but are lacking some necessary equipment to meet future safety demands. The Department needs to increase the number of available, portable MARCS (Multi-Agency Radio Communications) radios but does not have adequate funds available in the budget at this time. The MARCS radios allow NCPD officers to coordinate their efforts during various situations such as community events, traffic incidents, emergencies, executing search warrants, etc.
In an effort to raise money for the purchase of the radios, two NCPD officers will be running the Lookout Mountain 50 Mile Trail Race on Saturday, December 19. Our goal is to raise $10,000. We are asking community members to make a onetime donation or pledge for every mile of the race that the two officers successfully complete. Click here to see the Daily Jeffersonian’s article on the officers.
You may make a onetime flat donation of your choice, or you may pledge any desired amount for each mile completed. Please follow this link to the pledge/donation page to make a pledge or flat donation. Cash and checks are accepted, checks should be made payable to New Concord Police Dept.
We thank you in advance for your contribution.
