The New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District (NCAARD) and the Village of New Concord are seeking volunteers of all ages for the “Let’s Pick It Up New Concord” event scheduled to kick off Wednesday, April 22 – the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! 🌎
This annual spring cleaning is meant to beautify the village, foster community pride, and celebrate Earth Day. ❤️
Rather than gathering in groups this year, we are asking volunteers to sign up through Facebook or email ncaard@newconcord-oh.gov
You can find information through our website www.newconcord-oh.gov under the NCAARD tab as well.
We encourage volunteers to clean their chosen area (choice of 15 zones) at a time that is convenient for them during a 15-day period between April 22 and May 6!
We request you to post pictures and report volunteer hours logged so we can monitor our progress! Our main vehicle for reporting will be through Facebook, but you can also email updates.
The Village of New Concord will provide gloves and trash bags. These will be available on the porch of the NCAARD office located at 4 Comin.
Thank you to several local organizations who have donated money, we are able to give a free t-shirt to all participants! 🙌🏻
NCAARD is looking for lots of help in our quest to log 250 hours of cleanup! This is a great way to earn community service hours for school, clubs, or scouts. Anyone who wants to help beautify our community is welcome, so please pitch in!
