Let’s Pick It Up New Concord!
April 25

Can you believe it’s time to pull together for our 20th annual cleanup to de-litter the village?! 20 years! Initiated by RENEW in 2006, LPIUNC has continued to flourish because of the conscientious people who make up our town. Thank you!
We will once again kick off the event on Earth Day, April 22, and work to clean our community for 9 days through April 30! I hope you and/or your family/organization will help us reach our challenging goal of 200 community cleanup hours!
Please register to clean one of 15 zones in and around New Concord. Report hours via Facebook along with a picture of your cleanup efforts! Free t-shirt to all participants for their efforts!
This year, we have a chance to be part of something even bigger … the Keep America Beautiful “Greatest American Cleanup!” The goal of the campaign is for everyone to do their part to clean up our country to celebrate our SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL next summer!
For our LPIUNC community event, we will record the # of cleanup hours, but you can also be a part of the Greatest American Cleanup by:
Taking The Pledge: Click here to pledge your support in helping us pick up 25 billion pieces of litter and beautify 25,000 communities by America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.
As an Individual, committing to picking up 250 pieces of litter by July 4, 2026. Use this link to report how many pieces or bags you’ve collected – feel free to update your total anytime, even if you exceed 250!
As a Community, we pledge to create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable place to live.
Visit kab.org/greatest to explore the campaign more.
Our LPIUNC goal is to achieve 200 community cleanup hours between Earth Day, April 22, and the end of the month, April 30. Individuals, families, and organizations will choose the time that works best with their schedules and will report the # hours on our NCAARD Facebook page along with a picture. Our village will then shine for our 6th annual New Concord Blms community-wide art exhibit!
Supplies can be picked up on the NCAARD porch (4 Comin) and include VERY LARGE trash bags (I recommend bringing your own smaller bags for most jobs), trash grabbers, disposable gloves, and bright-colored vests!
You will earn a commemorative 20th year t-shirt for your help! Shirt pickup is scheduled for:
Thursday, May 1, from 5-6 PM in the NCAARD office parking lot located at 4 Comin and
Friday, May 2, from 12:30-1:30 PM in Village Hall located at 2 W. Main!
