America 250 Celebration – Community Picnic, Bingo, Music, and Fireworks!

Join in the fun as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday this July! New Concord is one of many towns who will be taking part in statewide community picnics! Led by the Museum Association, many organizations of the Village have pulled together to plan this celebration, and we hope you will plan to attend.

Activities planned:

Friday, July 10
8-10:30 PM: NCAARD Free Outdoor Movie in the Park & pre-movie festivities – Monsters, Inc. – 25th anniversary!

Saturday, July 11
10 AM – 4 PM: Free walk-through tours at National Road and John & Annie Glenn Museums
11 AM – 6 PM: Free Swim Day at the pool made possible by a generous anonymous donor
4-6 PM: Statewide Picnic in the Park with NC churches (NC United Methodist, College Drive Presbyterian, Westminster Presbyterian) providing food – all donations will be put towards fireworks! Please bring your blankets and chairs as there are only a few picnic tables available.
There will also be free tours of Harper Cabin.
5-7:30 PM: New Concord Area Board of Trade Farmer’s Market in Village Park Parking Lot
5-8 PM: NCAARD Bingo in Village Hall lower level; giant outdoor games in park
7-8 PM: Sweet Adalines Friendship 7 Chorus performance
8-9:45 PM: CNC Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds performance
Dusk: Fireworks by PyRoo Pyrotechnics – made possible by our community fundraising efforts and donations!
