The New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District (NCAARD) and the Village of New Concord are seeking volunteers of all ages for the “Let’s Pick It Up New Concord” event scheduled for Saturday, April 27th.
This annual spring cleaning is meant to beautify the village, foster community pride, and celebrate Earth Day. Volunteers will meet at 9 am in the New Concord Elementary School Pavilion on West Main Street between the school and the New Concord Library. From there, teams will be formed and assigned various areas in New Concord for litter pick-up until 11 am. The Village of New Concord will provide all protective equipment and trash bags. Local organizations and business have donated hotdogs, chips and drinks for all participants.
NCAARD is looking for adult team leaders to head each group as well as organizations and individuals of all ages who are interested in participating as team members. This is a great way to earn community service hours for school, clubs, or scouts. All are welcome!!
Those interested should contact Leisha Price, NCAARD Program Director, by April 20. Registration can be completed on our website www.ncaard.org, or be emailing ncaard@newconcord-oh.gov, or by calling 740-291-7274. Please call or email for more information. We welcome anyone who wants to volunteer so please join us!
